Weather forces weekend closure of Urbana Park District facilities

URBANA, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The Urbana Park District announced that all district facilities were closed Saturday and Sunday due to inclement weather conditions.

Officials said the temporary closure was made to ensure the safety of patrons and staff as weather conditions impacted travel and facility operations throughout the weekend.

The park district planned to reopen all locations with regular hours on Monday, Dec. 15. Residents were encouraged to check the district’s website or social media channels for any additional updates related to weather or scheduling changes.
