Vacant mobile home destroyed in early morning fire on Edgebrook Drive

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Firefighters responded early Monday morning to a fully involved fire at a vacant mobile home in the 500 block of Edgebrook Drive.

The Champaign Fire Department was dispatched at 1:19 a.m. on March 2. Upon arrival, crews found the single-family mobile home engulfed in flames. Firefighters deployed multiple hose lines and were able to quickly bring the fire under control.

The blaze caused minor damage to two adjacent mobile homes. No firefighter injuries were reported.

Investigators remain on scene working to determine the cause of the fire, which has not yet been established.
