URBANA, Ill. (Chambana Today) — A new partnership between Urbana Park District and Leadaz Sports is bringing top-tier athletic equipment to the Urbana Health & Wellness Center, enhancing local basketball leagues and community events.

As part of the agreement, Leadaz Sports will provide the district with a scorer’s table, shot clocks, and game clocks, ensuring high-quality, professional-level equipment for upcoming programs.

“It has been a joy to work with Leadaz,” said Rachel Lenz, Executive Director of the Urbana Park District and a college basketball referee. “This is high quality. We do it right at Urbana Park District.”

The partnership was formalized in an agreement signed by Lenz, Superintendent of Recreation Corky Emberson, and Leadaz Sports CEO Javae Wright. The district is set to take possession of the new equipment soon.

“This equipment will be unlike anything in the area,” Emberson added. “It’s a great day for our community and our partners.”
