URBANA, Ill. (Chambana Today) — All Urbana Park District facilities will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 25, due to ongoing winter weather conditions affecting Champaign County. The closure comes as snow-covered roads, blowing snow and bitterly cold temperatures continue to create hazardous conditions across the area.

Park District officials said the decision was made to prioritize public safety as the winter storm moves through and dangerously low wind chills settle in behind it. Residents are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel, monitor weather updates and check the Urbana Park District website and social media channels for information on reopening and program updates as conditions improve.
