URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – Champaign County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Florida Avenue and Lincoln Avenue in Urbana early Thursday morning.

The deputy sustained serious but stable injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His name and status has not been released as of 10:00 a.m.

In accordance with standard protocol, the incident is being investigated by an outside agency — in this case, the Urbana Police Department. All further updates and details will be released by the investigating agency as they become available.
