CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The Unit 4 Board of Education has rescheduled its regularly planned meeting after a failure to properly post the required public notice due to multiple employee illnesses.

Originally set for the evening of September 22, the meeting will now take place on Monday, September 29. According to district officials, all agenda items — including a public hearing on the proposed 2026 District budget — will be carried over to the rescheduled meeting.

The Illinois Open Meetings Act requires that public notice be given at least 48 hours in advance. Without proper posting, the meeting could not legally proceed.

The rescheduled meeting will be held at the usual location, with the same agenda as originally planned.
