Traffic restored After two-vehicle crash closes IL Route 49

Pesotum, IL (Chambana Today) — Illinois State Police Troop 7 reported that IL Route 49, which was temporarily closed following a two-vehicle crash south of Edgar County Road 1525N, has reopened to traffic.

Earlier in the day, northbound drivers were detoured at Edgar County Road 1400N, while southbound motorists were redirected at Edgar County Road 1700N. Troopers on the scene advised travelers to exercise caution and consider alternate routes during the incident.
