Thanksgiving at the Cabin to be held Nov. 2 at Forest Glen Preserve

WESTVILLE, IL. (Chambana Today) — The Vermilion County Conservation District has been hosting the annual Thanksgiving at the Cabin event for nearly 40 years at the 1840s style homestead log cabin at Forest Glen Preserve near Westville and this year is no exception.

Visitors are invited to experience Thanksgiving life as Pioneers did in the 1800s, this Sunday November 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. where visitors can watch history unfold before their eyes while watching cooking demonstrations, indulge in historically inspired foods that are prepared by reenactors using traditional tools. Guests may pick up a recipe list to recreate their favorites at home.
