Suspects from robbery at Lindy Lu’s in Urbana still at large

URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) — Two suspects from an Urbana robbery are still believed to be at-large. Last week, Champaign County Crimestoppers asked the community for help in tracking down two suspects, pictured below, from a March 16 robbery.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery at Lindy Lu’s, at 202 West University Avenue in Urbana, and soon learned that there were two suspects, one male and one female. The suspects approached a customer, struck him in the back of the neck, stole an undisclosed amount of cash and a cell phone, then fled on foot. The release shared that the suspects ran north on Race Street and east on Park Street. no weapons were observed during the incident, and officers who responded to the report were not able to locate the suspects.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects captured on video. The male suspect is described as being around 5’11”, heavy-set, wearing a black hoodie with a white cross on the zipper, gray pants, black and tan Nike shoes, a dark colored winter jacket and a face mask. The female suspect is described as approximately 5’9”, heavy-set, wearing a black hoodie with sparkles or gem-like lettering on the front, dark  pants, white tennis shoes, and a black and blue winter coat.
