Shauna Green to donate 100 tickets for women’s basketball team’s Play4Kay game

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Illinois women’s basketball head coach Shauna Green has pledged to donate 100 tickets to fans affected by cancer ahead of the team’s Play4Kay cancer awareness game against USC on Sunday, February 8.

Tipoff on Febuary 8 is scheduled for 12 p.m. between the Fighting Illini and Trojans. Additional details and ticket purchase information for the Play4Kay and National Girls and Women in Sports game are available here.

Since arriving on Campus, Green has emphasized the importance of the local community and supporting those who support her program. With this donation, Green and the program look to honor cancer survivors and those who are still fighting and welcome them to State Farm Center.

Ticket giveaway recipients will be recognized during the game surrounded by the Illinois famILLy.

Fans who have been impacted by cancer are encouraged to participate by filling out the submission form by Friday, January 30. Tickets will be distributed directly to the recipients Wednesday, Febuary 4.
