Scott Bennett Family Resources Day set for August 22 at Lincoln Square Mall

URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) — Families and individuals looking for community support and essential services are invited to attend the Scott Bennett Family Resources Day on Thursday, August 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lincoln Square Mall, 201 Lincoln Sq. in Urbana.

The free event will bring together a wide range of local organizations offering help in the areas of children and family services, health and wellbeing, legal assistance, and more.

Participating groups include RPC Head Start, Crisis Nursery, CU Public Health District, NAMI Champaign, Promise Healthcare, Land of Lincoln Legal Aid, and many others. Services will range from behavioral health and early childhood education to legal guidance, veterans’ assistance, and housing support.

The event is sponsored by Senator Paul Faraci, the Champaign County State’s Attorney’s Office, the Regional Planning Commission, and MTD.
