RANTOUL, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Promise Healthcare is inviting families to join them for fun tomorrow for a Patient Appreciation and Back-to-School Family Fun Day & Health Fair at 424 East Wabash Avenue in Rantoul.

An opening ceremony will be held at 9:45 a.m., and the event will run from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The community celebration is a part of National Health Center Week, and is open to the public.

One of the biggest highlights of the events is the free backpack and school supply giveaway. Thanks to the support of Gift of Hope, Meridian Healthcare, and Molina Healthcare, more than 800 backpacks filled with essential school supplies will be available for children while supplies last. The contribution ensures that hundreds of local students will be better prepared to start the school year with the tools they need to succeed.

The event will also have entertainment, health services, and resources to support families. Those in attendance can meet state representative Brandun Schweizer, get school and sports physicals, learn about health and dental services, and enjoy a festive atmosphere with a live DJ, food trucks, giveaways, and photo opportunities with Promise Healthcare’s mascot, Doc Bernard.
