Portion of Honeysuckle Lane closed starting Thursday for sewer installation

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — As part of the Garden Hills Phase 3 project, Honeysuckle Lane just north of Paula Drive was closed to through traffic beginning today, Thursday, May 7. Stark Excavating is installing part of a new sewer system in the area.

The affected area can be seen below.

The closure is expected to last two to three weeks, weather permitting. Pedestrian access to all homes will be maintained throughout construction, and street parking will remain available outside the construction zone. Additional lane and road closures may be announced as the project progresses.

Drivers are asked to use alternate routes and proceed cautiously through construction zones.
