CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — A stabbing occurred early Friday morning near the parking lot of the Walmart on Prospect Avenue, leaving one person hospitalized. The incident took place in a grassy area between the retail giant and a nearby strip mall. Authorities quickly responded to the scene, setting up crime scene tape around the area before it was later taken down.
Champaign Police Department has not yet made any arrests in connection with the attack.
As of now, police are asking anyone with information about the stabbing to come forward and assist with the investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
