SPRINGFIELD, IL (Chambana Today) — Looking for a local brewery to visit this summer? The Illinois Liquor Control Commission has launched an online directory of breweries, brew pubs, distilleries, and wineries across the state, available at ilcc.illinois.gov.

The directory can be downloaded directly or accessed through an interactive map that lets users locate businesses based on their location. The ILCC says the tool is designed to help residents discover local spots and plan tasting trips while supporting Illinois’ hospitality industry.

“Please use this directory to find nearby businesses, or to plan a tasting journey,” said ILCC Executive Director Lisa Gardner. “We hope you enjoy discovering new favorites and revisiting old haunts.”

The directory covers four types of establishments: breweries, which produce beer through fermentation; brew pubs, which combine a brewery with a full restaurant menu; distilleries, which produce spirits like whiskey, vodka, and rum; and wineries, which produce wine through the crushing, fermenting, and aging of grapes.

More information is available at ilcc.illinois.gov.
