Illinois Hosts Murray State for Field Trip Day game in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The University of Illinois women’s basketball team will host Murray State University at State Farm Center on Tuesday, Nov. 18, in a special Field Trip Day matchup. The game, set to tip off at 11 a.m. will offer free admission to all fans and is expected to draw a large crowd of local schoolchildren as part of the annual Field Trip Day event.

Field Trip Day is a beloved tradition for Illinois basketball, bringing hundreds of young students to the arena for an exciting live sports experience. With a packed crowd of enthusiastic students, the Fighting Illini (who are coming off a strong season) face off against the Racers, an up-and-coming team from Murray State.

The game will be available for fans who cannot attend in person via B1G+ and the B1G+ app for live streaming, while the Busey Bank Illini Sports Network will provide live radio coverage on the Varsity Network app.

For those attending, the State Farm Center doors will open at 9:30 a.m., and the first 500 students will receive special giveaways as part of the Field Trip Day festivities.
