CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The Illinois 4-H Alumni Association is now accepting applications and nominations for openings on its Alumni Advisory Committee, including two positions for young alumni directors.

The advisory committee represents Illinois 4-H alumni statewide and works to strengthen alumni engagement, recognize accomplishments, and support the organization’s long-term strategic goals. Committee members help build lifelong connections between alumni and the Illinois 4-H program through leadership, advocacy, and outreach.

Young alumni directors specifically represent 4-H alumni under the age of 30 who completed their 4-H careers within the past 10 to 15 years. Directors also help engage youth nearing the end of their 4-H experience, emphasizing opportunities for continued involvement through the Illinois 4-H Alumni Association.

Applicants must have participated in Illinois 4-H for at least three years and be under 30 years old at the time of application. Alumni may self-nominate and are required to submit an online application, a résumé, and two letters of reference.

The advisory committee meets four times per year, with two meetings held in person and two conducted remotely. Members also serve on at least one subcommittee and are expected to maintain consistent attendance.

Applications are due March 1, 2026.
