Illini baseball unveils 2026 schedule featuring 24 home games

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The University of Illinois baseball team has released its full 2026 regular season schedule, highlighted by 24 home games at Illinois Field and five Big Ten home series.

The Illini’s 53-game slate begins on February 13 with a road series against South Florida in Tampa, kicking off a stretch of non-conference play in Florida and South Carolina. The home opener is scheduled for March 3 against Eastern Illinois.

Big Ten play begins with a visit to USC on March 6, followed by the conference home opener against Minnesota on March 13. Other Big Ten home opponents include Rutgers, Oregon, Nebraska, and Northwestern, while road trips include matchups at Penn State, Purdue, Iowa, and Indiana.

In addition to conference matchups, the Illini will host non-conference games against Western Illinois, Indiana State, New Orleans, SIUE, Illinois State, and Bradley.
