PARIS, IL (Chambana Today) — Throughout July, students can receive a sports physical at Horizon Health clinics, and half of the cost will be donated to the booster club of their choice. Clinics participating include locations in Chrisman, Oakland, Tilton, and Sycamore Wellness in Terre Haute, as well as EZ Care walk-in clinics in Paris and Marshall. The $25 physicals do not involve insurance billing, and $12.50 from each visit will be directed to the selected booster club at check-in.

Sports physicals are required annually for student athletes to assess their readiness for sports, but they do not replace school physicals and do not include immunizations. Students under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Appointments are required at Horizon Health locations but walk-ins are accepted at EZ Care clinics during regular hours.

School physicals, which meet sports physical requirements, are also recommended for children entering early childhood, kindergarten, sixth grade, and ninth grade to ensure they are up to date on vaccines. These are available at Horizon Health primary care clinics in Paris, Chrisman, Oakland, Tilton, Marshall, and Sycamore Wellness, with insurance billed for the visit.
