CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Even though the Junior League of Champaign-Urbana is beginning the process of dissolution, the longtime Festival of Trees holiday tradition will continue in Champaign-Urbana under the leadership of Illini Media Group.

The annual event will return to the I Hotel and Illinois Conference Center on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“For 30 years, the Junior League of Champaign-Urbana proudly presented Festival of Trees, bringing holiday joy while giving back to our community,” said Junior League President Monica Samii-Porter. “As our league begins the process of dissolution, we are deeply grateful to everyone who supported this beloved tradition. We are honored to pass the torch to Illini Media Group, whose capable hands will carry forward the legacy of Festival of Trees and its spirit of community impact for years to come.”

Illini Media Group will independently organize and operate the event moving forward, overseeing vendor coordination, event planning, sponsorships, promotions, and community partnerships.

Organizers say the Festival of Trees will continue to feature decorated holiday displays, local vendors, seasonal activities, and family-friendly entertainment while preserving the community spirit that has defined the event for decades.

Anyone with questions about the event or those interested in becoming vendors can contact Illini Media Group VP/General Manager Jamie Ulrey at julrey@illinimediagroup.com.
