MAHOMET, IL (Chambana Today) — The annual showcase formerly known as the Home and Garden Show returns Saturday, March 28, with a new name and a broader focus. The Everything Mahomet Business Showcase runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fieldhouse in Mahomet Seymour High School and is free and open to the public.

Lauren Hays, Executive Director of the Mahomet Area Chamber of Commerce, said the updated event is designed to highlight the full spectrum of the community. “We want to drive traffic to Everything Mahomet and showcase the entire community,” Hays said. “In the past, we focused just on home and garden businesses, but now we include all types of local businesses — from hair salons to design studios — as well as non-profits and civic organizations.”

Hays added, “There’s truly something for everyone at the showcase. Whether you’re looking to discover a new business, try a fun activity with the kids, or just enjoy some food from local vendors, there’s plenty to do.” She also noted, “We’ve made sure to include experiences for all ages, from interactive demos to hands-on activities, so families can spend the whole day here together.”

Attendees can browse a wide variety of vendors, meet business owners, and enjoy live demonstrations. The showcase also features family-friendly activities, including hair braiding, glitter and face-painting, “touch a truck” displays, and food trucks.
