CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, IL (Chambana Today) — Champaign residents are being warned to prepare for a heightened tornado risk today. The National Weather Service has placed the city in a red zone, indicating an 8 out of 10 chance of tornado formation after 5 p.m. Strong tornadoes are possible, and authorities advise reviewing emergency plans and staying ready.
