CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — On Wednesday, the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club in Champaign announced its next Chief Executive Officer, which comes around a month after it was announced that current CEO Amy Brown would be leaving for Vermilion Advantage.

Starting May 14, Monica Miles Shellman will be the organization’s CEO. Shellman has been the COO since 2023.

“Her leadership has strengthened our programs, expanded funding opportunities, and deepened our connection to the Champaign-Urbana community — all in service of the young people we are honored to support each day,” a release from the organization stated.

Shellman will begin as the CEO on May 14, but Brown will continue in a mentorship role through June 1 to support a seamless transition.
