Details unveiled for Champaign Labor Day Parade and Celebration

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) —The Champaign AFL-CIO Central Labor Council is hosting this year’s Labor Day Parade and Celebration, which looks to bring several family friendly activities.

On Labor Day, Monday, September 1, the event will be held in Downtown Champaign at 302 North Neil Street. The Parade will take place at 11 a.m., while the ensuing picnic will run from Noon to 1 p.m.

The Neil Street Plaza will be host to food, magic performers, bouncy houses, music, and many more activities.

The Parade will run from Chestnut/Main Street to Walnut Street to Chester Street to Neil Street to Washington Street.

Those looking to attend the day’s festivities are asked to park outside of the parade route.
