DEPUTY ACCIDENT UPDATE: Lincoln and Florida reopened after early morning deputy crash

URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – All lanes have been reopened after an early morning crash. At 12:05 p.m., the Urbana Police Department finished their accident investigation of an early morning crash that sent a deputy to the hospital.

Champaign County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Florida Avenue and Lincoln Avenue in Urbana early Thursday morning.

In accordance with standard protocol, the incident is being investigated by an outside agency — in this case, the Urbana Police Department. If anyone has additional information, they are urged to call the Urbana Police Department at 217-384-2320 or remain anonymous by calling Crimestoppers at 217-373-TIPS.
