DANVILLE, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Those looking into opportunities at this meeting for manufacturing as well as service leaders, are invited to the Danville Area Regional Roundtable regarding state and regional efforts to address workforce challenges. This meeting will teach about new and available resources that are coming up.

The roundtable will be held at the Vermilion County Farm Bureau Auditorium at 1905 Rt. 150 West in Danville, just east of the Little Nugget Restaurant, on September 24, from 1 to 3:15 p.m.

Opening Session includes a view of Illinois landscapes with Christy George, President and CEO of Illinois Economic Development Council Illinois, Mike Marron, CEO/President of Vermilion Advantage and Kerry Wienke, Executive Director of the Vermilion County Farm Bureau.

Panel: Bridging the Gaps: Regional Resources to address Workforce challenges, with speakers, Jacob Bretz, Principal at Danville High School, Dr. Randall Fletcher, President of Danville Area Community College and Jodie Ingram, Workforce Director, Vermilion Advantage.

Afterwards, there will be moderated discussion where attendees can participation “Beyond what is keeping you up at night”. This is a discussion to share unique approaches about what’s working in businesses, using technologies for recruiting, creative retention ideas and what is on the top of your mind.
