United Airlines will return to the University of Illinois–Willard Airport on April 30, 2026, with four daily nonstop flights connecting Champaign-Urbana to Chicago O’Hare. The year-round service will increase daily seat capacity by more than 50 percent and provide one-stop access to 207 destinations worldwide through United’s global network. Local leaders say the new route will significantly improve travel options for business, university, and leisure travelers across east central Illinois.
