CUPHD Justice Coalition hosts free film screening and community event

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District’s Justice Coalition invites the community to “Justice in Focus,” a free public event on Saturday, October 11 at the Independent Media Center in downtown Urbana. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the event begins at 6 p.m.

The evening will include a screening of the PBS documentary “Discovered Truth: A Health Care Journey,” which explores issues of equity and access in the healthcare system. The event will also feature live performances by Jarrel Young and Caleb Mutua, along with local vendors and community organizations.

Participating vendors include CUPHD, Be Smart for Kids, C-U Reparations Coalition, One Root Collective, Uniquely Blended Modifiers, and C-Nece Jewels.
