URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) — Cunningham Children’s Home’s 22nd annual Festival of Quilts is coming back next month, set to celebrate with handmade items displaying care and creativity.

Youth at Cunningham Children’s Home are planting herb starts that will be nurtured and sold at the festival, and through the hands-on experience, they are learning not just how to grow and care for plants, but also giving back to a tradition that has played a big role in the community.

Students in CIRCLE Academy Vermilion’s vocational program are also involved in the festival, creating tie blankets that will be sold at the event after building hands-on skills and teamwork.

The festival returns on April 10-11, with quilts, handmade gifts, and home decor promising unique pieces available for puchase to those who arrive.

“When we create and give from the heart, we’re building something meaningful together!”
