City of Urbana opens applications for community services grants for 2027 program year

URBANA, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The City of Urbana announced the availability of grant funding for not-for-profit agencies and public entities that provide community-based programs and services to low-income Urbana households.

The funding opportunity covers Program Year 2027, which runs from July 1, through June 30. City officials said the goal of the Community Services Grant Program is to support initiatives that address documented community needs and create lasting, positive impacts for Urbana residents.

Eligible programs fall within several key service areas, including domestic violence services; housing and homelessness prevention; education; immigration services; employment and job training; senior services; family support and special needs services; violence prevention; food security; youth services; and healthcare.

Applications will open Tuesday, Feb. 3, and must be submitted by 5 p.m. Monday, April 6.
