Champaign police investigating shots fired incident near Vine and 4th streets

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The Champaign Police Department is investigating an incident where shots were fired Sunday evening near the intersection of East Vine and North 4th Streets. Police responded to the area around 9:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call about gunfire.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found shell casings but no victims or property damage. The suspects had fled the scene before officers arrived. Authorities are now asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
