PET OF THE WEEK: Meet Sport and Bob, who found each other through a group effort

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Bob Pruitt had a friend tell him he heard about Sport on WIXY 100.3, and wanted to look into adopting him. He didn’t have a computer, and his cell service is spotty, so he called the front desk of Illini Media Group. Anyone who calls here gets Kathy, the effervescent greeting at the front – and she is an animal lover. When Bob explained how he wanted Sport, Kathy patiently helped him fill out his application online. Kim, from Moore’s Rescue Ranch received it, met Bob, and introduced Bob to Sport. They were the perfect match! It’s been three weeks, and Sport is living his best life out in the country, sleeping curled up at the feet of his new dad, greeting every person and dog as if he’s never met a stranger.

Once again, Moore’s Rescue Ranch knows which humans deserve which perfect, little souls. Kathy, Duane, and the entire newsroom at Chambana Today love our front-row seat to this every week.

This segment wouldn’t be possible without the help from our friends at Curtis Road Animal Hospital, our generous sponsor.
