University of Illinois to kick off ‘With Illinois’ Fundraising Campaign

The University of Illinois will officially kick off the public phase of one of the biggest fundraising initiatives in the history of the school.

The ‘With Illinois’ campaign seeks to increase the endowment for the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. The public is invited to the inaugural event tonight at 7:00 pm at State Farm Center.

In addition to revealing the campaign, and ultimate monetary goal, the presentation will feature speakers, performers, and high profile Alumni of the university.

The fundraising is expected to fund the new Carle Illinois College of Medicine, a renovation of Altgeld Hall, and the proposed Illini Union rehab.

The university last wrapped up a major fundraising initiative ‘Brilliant Futures’ in 2012. That focused on all parts of the University of Illinois system. That raised $1.7 Billion. ‘With Illinois’ is expected to exceed that number.
