Trial in Yingying Zhang Case Pushed Back to February


In an expected move, the trial for the accused kidnapper of Yingying Zhang has been moved back to February 27th.

Lawyers for Brendt Christensen requested more time to prepare and review evidence for the case which was originally scheduled for September 12th.

Christensen’s lawyers, Tom and Evan Bruno, filed the motion and were joined by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in supporting more time to prepare for the trial.

Zhang, has been missing since June 9th, is thought to be dead by law enforcement officials who are investigating the case. There have been no updates from law enforcement on the status of the investigation into her whereabouts.

Zhang’s family recently held a press conference where they revealed they had appealed to President Donald Trump for help in finding their daughter.
