Aldi has announced that it’s third Chambanavoy location, on Dunlap Ave (US 45) in Savoy will be open Friday September 29th.
In a release, Aldi says its excited to show Savoy shoppers what makes it unique:
“We have our own style when it comes to grocery shopping, and we’re pleased to welcome customers in Savoy to experience exactly what sets ALDI apart from competitors, and how it’s made us one of the fastest growing retailers in the U.S.,” said Heather Moore, Dwight division vice president for ALDI. “We recognize that customers want high-quality, reasonably-priced groceries, and we invite them to come see what Simply Smarter Shopping is all about.”
A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for 8:30, with the first 100 customers receiving an Aldi “Golden Ticket” containing gift cards of various amounts.
There will also be eco-friendly bag giveaways, a chance to win free produce for a year, and product samples available.
The location at 605 N. Dunlap joins other Aldi stores on North Prospect in Champaign, and University Ave. in Urbana.
The Savoy store is part of a $3.4 Billion expansion investment. Aldi plans to add Nearly 1,000 stores in the United States by 2022.
