After 6 years, 301 Mongolia is closing its doors. In Facebook post the restaurant announced that they will have their final day in business this Sunday.

The restaurant opened in Fall of 2011 and offered stir fry dishes designed by the customer. The restaurant briefly closed in August of 2013, and plans were announced to expand sister-restaurant Dublin O’Neil’s into the space. Those plans never materialized and the restaurant reopened in April of 2014.
Meanwhile Dublin O’Neils has announced that they will remain open, and will have new ownership.

A campus favorite bar is making a comeback. The Daily Illini reports that The Illini Inn, is going to be brought back in its original location, albeit in a new building. The former building at 901 S. Fourth st. in Champaign was torn down over the summer. Owner Chris Saunders says that the new bar will be bigger than the old Illini Inn, and will feature a full kitchen. One thing that will not be new is the popular Mug Club. The tradition will be restarted when the bar reopens, so your number should still be good. The new building will also include 22 new apartments in the seven story building.
