Meijer Launches Grocery Delivery Service in CU.


If you loved the Curbside Pickup service, now you can skip the store entirely.

Meijer in Urbana and Champaign have announced their new grocery delivery service called Shipt. The service will launch in CU on August 24th.

Users will pick their groceries online and then Shipt will deliver them to you within a chosen 1 hour window.

The service costs $99 per year. There is a cost of $7 per delivery if the order is less than $35. Deliveries of goods over $35 are free. During the startup of the service, new members will receive $25 off their first order.

This service is also looking for people to shop. Shipt is expanding their workforce and looking for shoppers. Interested parties can sign up at shipt.com.
