LOOK: Illinois is Getting a New License Plate Design

Changes coming to your plates in 2017.

The Illinois Secretary of State announced today that a new license plate will debut in 2017.

The new design looks like this:

Cars with plates made in 2000 and 2001 will be replaced first. You will be contacted by mail if you are eligible for new plates.
