Legendary Campustown Restaurant For Sale

You could own a part of Campustown History.

In a Facebook post, Zorba’s Restaurant owner Matt Mortenson said that the time is right for him to move on, and that the restaurant is up for sale.screen-shot-2016-10-26-at-5-28-27-am

The restaurant is not closing at this point. A fixture on the U of I campus, Zorba’s opened in 1973, and has been in the same location ever since. It was closed for a little over a year when a fire destroyed some of the building.

Good luck to Matt in his next adventure. Hopefully Zorba’s future is just as bright as Jarling’s Custard Cup, which was bought by new owners earlier this year.
