Former President Obama to Speak on UI campus.

Former President Barack Obama will be on the University of Illinois Campus next week.

He will speak at Foellinger Auditorium on September 7th as he receives the Paul H. Douglas Award for Ethics in Government. The event will not be open to the general public.

From the Release:

“We are honored that President Obama will personally address our students,” said Tim Killeen, president of the U of I System. “And we are grateful to IGPA for bringing President Obama here, and giving his home state’s flagship University System an opportunity to recognize his dedicated service to our state and nation.”

The speech will be live streamed at go.illinois.edu/live. The award was first given out in 1994. It’s named for former Illinois senator Paul Douglas.
