Restaurants are opening everywhere across C-U!

  • Rafter’s Draft and Dough will open its doors on December 26th. The restaurant is located in the old Bradley’s location at 1906 W. Bradley. The restaurant will feature craft beers, including some local selections, salads, grinders, pizzas, and a lunch buffet weekdays from 11am-2pm.
  • As noted in this weekend’s News-Gazette, the joint location for Oberweis Dairy and That Burger Joint is expected to open in early January of 2018. Both businesses will occupy the former Atlanta Bread location at 1905 S. Neil st. Oberweis Dairy will serve up ice cream treats, coffee drinks, and smoothies. That Burger Joint focuses on burgers, chicken, hot dogs, and hand cut fries.
  • Wine aficionados now have a space to call their own in the craft beer dominated space of downtown Champaign. Crudo Wine Bar, has had its soft opening at 116 N. Walnut. Owned by Nando Milano’s Dario Vullo, it features 12 wines by the glass, and a diverse bottle list. No word on when the bar will be fully open for business.
  • And finally, a restaurant that has already opened its doors. Asian Noodle & Sushi has taken over the space previously occupied by Yellowfin. Located near the corner of Kirby and State street in Champaign, owner Jin Chen opened the restaurant and is serving hand made sushi and noodle dishes. Chen also owns a restaurant in Springfield called Dynasty Asian Cuisine.
