A small portion of the east side of Urbana is currently under a boil order.

From Illinois American Water:

Due to a water main break this morning water service has been temporarily interrupted so crews can make repairs. Barring any unforeseen issues, we expect repairs to be made later today, and water service restored. Once Water service is restored customers in the the affected area will be on a boil water order.

 

Customers should bring their water to a rolling boil for 5 minutes before using for consumption, cooking, etc.

 

The affected area can be viewed in our online alerts at www.illinoisamwater.com. The area includes 200-400 blocks of W University, 500 block of N Lake, 400 block of N Race and 205 & 301 W Park, Silvercreek, Windy City, and Lil’ Porgy’s

 

The release also states that any reports of Carle at the Fields being affected by a water main break are incorrect.
