Ok. Full disclosure here:
I am a 35 year-old working mom of 2, and I have LET. MYSELF. GO.
Badly.
At my heaviest, after my second pregnancy, I topped the scales at 225. I’m not proud of it, and frankly… I’m not entirely sure how I let it happen. But the fact is, it happened and I’m tired of being overweight. That said, right around December 2012, my husband and I started to log our food and attempted to eat healthier. When I started the Why Weight program at the Mettler Center at the end of January, I had dropped to 219.
I’m now 3 weeks into the program, and I’m at 213. Slowly but surely I’m making it happen. Every so often I’ll post about my progress, my set-backs (because I’m realistic and I KNOW they’ll happen); I’ll pass along the helpful tips from Melissa, registered dietician at the Mettler Center, and Garrett, the trainer I’m working with as well.
